About two years since I really posted to this thing.
I think I'm gonna get back to it.
I've spent the past 8 weekends or so traveling--or rather away from home. Saw a friend get married. Celebrated bachelorhood. Made an escape of a flooding basement. Visited my ailing brother. Made some business pitches. All in all, ended up spending the past two months mostly in buses, trains, planes, cars, trolleys, horse-drawn carriages and rickshaws. Met a crapload of very interesting people and it worked out very well that I quit my job at Rubenstein (even though I really love going back to visit some awesome people).
I've been reading tons of books, listening to piles of CDs and trying to sort out all of the groundwork for starting a business with Christian--I guess I haven't mentioned that. Yeah. We're going into business to save the world and put on amazing events. It will probably not happen in that order, but rest assured, the Superman inside of me will save the world.
It's been an interesting couple of years. It will be nice to get back to this as an outlet for writing and also a way of keeping you all up on some of the basics in my life. A lot of life events really hit home over the past 24 months. My brother's engaged, I buried a friend I played basketball with in high school, I got and dropped my first job, graduated college, was in and am now not in a serious relationship, rediscovered old friends, made new ones, went back to school to study Mandarin, am moving into my new office within the next couple of weeks, saw friends leave the country and scatter to the corners of the Earth with question marks about the next time I might see them, saw people follow dreams, ideologies, vanities and even destruction, dared to operate differently than Harvard said to, visited a bunch of different countries, states and people...it has been great and I feel like it's actually going to get even better.
Hope to keep you all in the loop.
