We celebrate a lot of things these days: consumerism, communism, poultry, hallmark, ourselves, hollywood...junk like that.

Thanksgiving=Turkey Day=Football & Sleep=Gluttony=A Day FDR declared to estend the Holiday Shopping Season=A Day George Washington set aside to be thankful for the harvest=A Day which Abraham Lincoln set down to offer thanks during the Civil War for all that was going well......junk like that.

Whatever happened to good old holidays where people celebrate life and love? The two things in the world that are so amazing, and they've been bullied off the map.

I'm so disgusted, I'm not going to write anymore than this little blurb:

Just remember to celebrate LIFE and LOVE, especially during the holidays. Try to celebrate them every day. Forget the turkey, the football, the gifts, the stupid cranberry sauce. Love the family and friends (even if it's just one other person whom you can call) around you and celebrate the fact that you have another day to enjoy their company. It's all we've got out here that's worth anything.
